to be Subject of New Audio Webcast
August 17, 2010 At 1:30 PM EDT

MANASQUAN, NJ --  August 9, 2010: Two new federal regulations, the final rules to implement the electronic health records (EHR) incentive program under the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act, have just been released.

The release of the “meaningful use” and “standards and certification” regulations in essence marks the official start of the federal government’s major ‘push’ to launch nationwide adoption of electronic health records. The regulations set timetables, objectives and measures for implementation. The race is on since the Medicare EHR incentive payments are set to begin in May, 2011.

Meaningful Use Final Rules for the ‘C’ Suite, Senior Management, Medical Staff And Physician Organization Leadership, Administrators and Department Heads is scheduled for Tuesday, August 17, at 1:30 PM EDT. This special management education program is tailored for hospital, medical staff and physician organization senior managers and department heads.

Critical Importance: Your organization’s readiness is essential to support its patient care strategy and implement a HIT. That’s why it is critical for senior management and leadership to understand the new regulations and what is necessary to achieve their adoption. While the new regulations affect healthcare professionals responsible for IT and health information management, there are important governance issues that focus on IT project management planning making ‘C’ Suite support of IT the absolute key to your organization’s success in implementing the meaningful use regulations and adoption of the EHR
