MANASQUAN, NJ -- All three leading directories of healthcare payors and providers for just a single state are now available on CD-ROM in PDF format with high-speed searching from the Managed Care Information Center (MCIC).
The state-specific "combo" includes contact information and other industry data from The National Directory of Managed Care Organizations, The National Directory of Integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems and The National Directory of Physician Organizations.
"Now an executive does not need to buy directories for the whole country when they only want to know about the health and managed care landscape in one state," said Robert K. Jenkins, MCIC CEO.
The state directories on CD-ROM helps users connect the health "players" in a state - integrated healthcare delivery systems and their affiliates, managed care organizations, and physician organizations including IPAs and MSOs, Jenkins explained.
"It's the easiest way to quickly get to the information you've been looking for at the state level in one place," he said.
Great for cross-checking facts, the tool is meant to serve executives responsible for payor or provider relations, network development, or managed care contracting, Jenkins said.
Users can identify the managed care plans operating with a presence in a state, then quickly identify the integrated delivery networks there, then determine the physician organizations and spot relationships.
For example, Jenkins said, with the module on integrated healthcare delivery systems, users can find all a system's affiliated health organizations such as home care or ambulatory care programs and get the numbers of physicians that are part of the system.
Besides using the directories to get current contact names, users can also determine the size of the health plan, the plan's service area, often down to the county level, and the names of the individuals that they need to be in touch with.
"This tool is a big worksaver," said Jenkins. "It helps put the pieces together because a user can immediately spot who's dominating the market."
A user can see the number of hospitals and physicians in a health plan's network, check that against the number of physicians in the integrated healthcare delivery networks' (IHDN) and the number of health providers affiliated with the IHDN.
A high-speed search feature on the CD-ROM helps find a managed care plan in seconds.
This state-specific directory covers all aspects of the payor - provider universe, Jenkins explained. Users can work with just the slices of health and managed care market information they need and quickly uncover the connections between physician organizations, managed care plans and the hospitals in an IHDN.
The CD-ROM with all three state-specific modules of these leading tools in PDF in a searchable, printable format is ready to be shipped now.
All three directories have just been recently re-verified and updated with fresh data, new contact names, addresses, telephone and fax numbers. The directory information is fresh and as current as humanly possible. The MCIC research staff goes a step beyond to deliver verified and accurate information you can rely on.
