Manasquan, N.J.-- Sales and marketing executives selling to managed care organizations can now target their prospects using the Web-enabled National Managed Care Organizations Online Database at www.themcic.com. The database was researched and developed by the Managed Care Information Center.
Pharmaceutical companies, pharmaceutical benefit management firms, software and hardware technology companies, as well as industry consultants, marketers and information professionals can use the continuously-updated online database to get key contact names of MCO executives, create mailing lists or labels, identify service areas, determine enrollment or market competition on 1,800 managed care plans.
The National Managed Care Organization Online Database includes a user-friendly search engine to help subscribers sort and extract the information they need. Searches are completed using an easy "fill-in-the-form" query format.
Sales executives say they prefer the Online Database because it is updated on a continuing basis, and that their field sales representatives can access the database from anywhere they are working whether in a conference room during a meeting, or from a hotel room to prepare for a meeting with a sales prospect, said Robert K. Jenkins, president of the Managed Care Information Center.
Information selected from the National Managed Care Online Database can be downloaded to the user's desktop and is compatible with a company's sales contact management software program, proprietary database or spreadsheet program.
The database is extensively researched by MCIC staff from its own exclusive mail,
fax and telephone surveys, and also incorporates information from public data including 10ks, annual reports, government documents and the MCIC's editorial files. The information also is verified by MCIC staff with the managed care organizations.
Other ways subscribers may use The National Managed Care Online Database include support for developing presentations and market research reports, strategic planning, physician trends and data, and to determine "who is doing business where."
A free trial demonstration version of the database is available at the Managed Care Information Center Web site http://www.themcic.com. Interested individuals may contact the MCIC for telephone assistance with trying the demonstration by calling toll-free 1-888-THE-MCIC (888-843-6242.)
Subscriptions are made available for six-month or one-year terms. Organizations may also license the database for multiple users or for a company Intranet.
